Our mission is simple: we partner with organizations and businesses to tell their stories through film and photography in a way that solves problems and motivates action. We go beyond capturing stunning footage and making beautiful images—our aim is to build genuine relationships with clients and people we get to film so that we can create purposeful narratives that resonate deeply.

Our process guided by a human-centered approach. That means taking the time to truly get to know the people, businesses, and organizations we partner with. This extends to the subjects we film, where we leave space for authentic connections and understanding. In an age when the speed of a quick turnaround can drive the process, we are actually leaning the other way. We really do like people and the key to our work is meaningful relationships—especially with those whose experiences differ from our own.

No matter who we’re working with, no matter the budget size, we take our clients and their projects seriously. Professionalism is at the core of everything we do. We show up on time, fully prepared, and always proactive—constantly seeking ways to add value to every project. Whether it’s through thoughtful planning or the art of genuine curiosity, we ensure that every film we create is a powerful blend of creativity, empathy, and impact.

Live from the stage/my workspace

Jacob Bailey

Owner, Producer, Director, Editor

Our compass bearer, editing extraordinaire, project wrangler…

Jacob is a co-founder of Sea Legs Media with more than a decade of experience in commercial video production. Growing up in the rural foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains, Jacob's worldview was shaped by two powerful forces: a conservative evangelical community that influenced his early life and the experience of growing up and adventuring in the vast, wild landscapes of the American West. These outdoor spaces, full of freedom and exploration, remain a source of personal strength and reflection for Jacob, providing the grounding for his connection to nature and his filmmaking work.

Jacob’s transition from a deeply religious upbringing to a perspective that is no longer rooted in faith drives his focus on identity, power, and belonging. His work centers on underdog stories that explore the intersection of social justice, mental health, and resilience—themes that resonate deeply with his personal experiences as a father of adult children and a husband.

Bailey Beltramo

Director of Photography, Assistant Editor

Our camera wiz, gear manager, creative idea generator…

Bailey brings a background of creating visual material for marketing and communications departments in everything from the outdoor sports to high ed industries. His path to lensing our shoots began with an interest in journalism in college. Despite choosing to write with light more than a pen these days, the ethos, spirit, and foundational elements of good narrative journalism are still infused into how he approaches every project.
